They are also not moisture-resistant, making them unsuitable for areas with high humidity or for use with items like houseplants. This lack of durability limits their appeal for many of my clients’ storage projects.

Instead, I use 18mm white-faced and edged moisture-resistant MDF shelves, which offer greater robustness and a longer lifespan.
