Looking for the perfect Elfa wardrobe design? In this blog, I’ll walk you through a bespoke solution created for Valerie’s daughters, showcasing how Elfa’s modular systems can be tailored to meet growing children’s needs.. By using SolidWorks, I developed tailored wardrobe solutions that maximise storage efficiency while accommodating the children’s current and future needs.
Flexible and Cost-Effective Storage Solutions
The wardrobes feature 45 cm wide Elfa baskets—a cost-effective choice that balances shelf and hanging space. While 60 cm wide baskets offer more volume and better value, the narrower option aligns perfectly with Valerie’s preferences, ensuring the system fits seamlessly into the available space.
Adjustable basket shelves provide excellent organisation for smaller items like socks, gloves, and vests, making them ideal for young users. This flexibility means the storage system can adapt as the girls grow, ensuring long-term usability.
Practical Hanging and Shelving Options
Hanging rails are set at 1.4 m to suit the girls’ current height, with the option to adjust them over time. Flat shelves above shoulder height offer additional storage for less frequently used items, while varied shelf depths ensure optimal usability around door frames. These thoughtful details demonstrate the modularity of Elfa and the care I take in designing bespoke solutions.
A key component in these wardrobe designs is the Elfa Drawer System, particularly the 45 cm wide wire baskets (Elfa part number 225410). These baskets offer a cost-effective solution that balances shelf and hanging space, aligning perfectly with Valerie’s preferences.
